Sponge cream slice with fruit
A tall sponge base, a light white cream, topped with apricot and blueberries. Our simplest and most requested item.
There is nothing special about it, and that is exactly why it sells. A tall, soft sponge base, a light and barely sweet white cream, a few pieces of fruit on top. This is the pastry most guests choose when they do not want to decide.
We work dried fruit and a little crumb into the sponge, so the base is not empty: there is something to chew. Apricot and blueberries go on top, and in winter pear and plum instead.
For breakfast
This is the slice most often ordered with a morning coffee, because it is neither heavy nor too sweet. It is usually ready in the display by half past seven.
